He served on active duty in both the Infantry and Special Forces.  While on Active Duty with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), he was part of the initial campaigns in both Afghanistan (2001-2) and Iraq (2003). Following active duty, he joined the Maryland National Guard as a Special Forces officer and has mobilized and deployed on combat tours in Afghanistan multiple times since.  He has continued to serve as a contractor with the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) – now a directorate within the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), and has deployed multiple times with them to various locations.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry and a Master’s of Science in Operations Research from Southern Methodist University.

He is an active supporter of the Scouting movement, having earned his Eagle as a youth.  He has served on staff at both National and World Jamborees and is active as an Assistant Scoutmaster in his troop and Assistant Chapter Advisor in the Order of the Arrow.  Greg is also active with the Knights of Columbus here in Virginia.  He is a Knight of Magistral Grace in the Sovereign Military Hospitillar Order of Malta, as well as a Knight of Merit in the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George.

In addition to being a licensed Realtor in Virginia, Greg has earned the Military Relocation Professional (MRP®) and the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA®) designations from the National Association of Realtors.

Greg has developed a Statistical Price Analysis (SPA) to compliment the conventional Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) used to develop listing and offer prices.

The SPA helps illustrate:

  • For the Seller: how competitive a listing price will likely be in the current market.
  • For the Buyer: where the asking price falls in within a statistically significant range, and can help guide offers and negotiations.
  • For the Investor: whether a proposed will be profitable in a fix/flip or fix/rent situation; gives a range of the potential profit.
